When my bump finally “bumped out,” I realized that I needed to adjust my clothing! My problem was that I didn’t know where to look! Thankfully, I have a handful of girlfriends who came to the rescue and gave me their helpful advice. Not only where the best places to browse, but who has the best deals!
One of things I try to do is find clothing that I can wear throughout pregnancy and after!
[line] Target [line]
This is a given. I mean, hello. Target is my happy place. What I love about their maternity line is how cute and affordable their clothes are. From chic dresses to simple tees, you can get all your essentials! No deals here, unless you have a Red card. Or if you are patient enough to pick through the clearance rack and find a deal. Sometimes I have a hard time buying clothing at full price. Even though their prices are great already, I convince myself I can find better.
[line] Old Navy [line]
This is probably the best place to shop. They always have sales going on and their clothes is the best, comfort wise. Plus they have their staple flip flops that are perfect for the summer heat! Their dresses are simple enough to wear casually or accessorize for a night on the town! They have the cash back deal going on right now, where if you buy $25 of items you get $10 to use later in September! Old Navy doesn’t usually carry maternity clothes on site, so you’ll have to shop online. I suggest downloading Ebates, which is a cashback site. It’s essentially getting paid to shop! I love using it, especially around Christmas time! Click here to sign up! When you spend at least $25, you will get $10 as a thank you and I get $25 for referring you! Invite your family and friends and get $25!
Plus, since you practically have to buy online if you don’t like what you purchased or it doesn’t fit right, you can go to your closest Old Navy location and return in store! Should be easier talking to a human in person!
[line] Pink Blush [line]
I’ve seen advertisements for Pink Blush and love their clothes online, but I’m always skeptical about buying clothes online…because you never know how it is going to fit. When a friend reached out to be and told me positive reviews I had to check it out! She informed be that every now and then there will be 40% and the day she told me about it there was a surprise SALE ON SALE of extra 50% off clearance prices! I I was through the roof! If you are looking for some cute and affordable wear that can be transitional between pregnancy and post partum, this is a great site to browse! They also offer delivery robes and items for baby!
Plus, I’m a Style Ambassador for Pink Blush. Watch out on my instagram and future blog posts featuring some of their popular items! I’m so happy for this opportunity!
[line] Macy’s [line]
Macy‘s always has a sale going on, plus if you have Ebates you get an even better deal! EVEN BETTER if you have a Macy’s card. From high end items to simple tops, you will find everything you need. I mean, come on! It’s Macy’s! I love browsing their items online because there is so much to choose from. I’d definitely shop here for a nice dress, a dressy blouse, or under garments!
[line] Amazon [line]
This is the first place I started shopping because I am an Amazon Prime lover. I love the free two day shipping! It’s like Christmas! The difficult thing about shopping on Amazon is the reliability of the reviews. You can always return, but I find that being a hassle for Amazon. You have to be smart and do your own investigation on each clothing item. I hate to say it but you get what you buy for if you try to buy the cheapest item!
Amazon also has their new “prime wardrobe” selection where you essentially “try before you buy.” Ever heard of StitchFix? It’s like that, but for Amazon. The difference between the two is that you get to choose what clothing items you want to try on. StitchFix did that part for you. Don’t like what you chose? Amazon sends a prepaid label and box for you to send back! This is only for Amazon Prime members! I haven’t tried it yet, but I hope it is an easy process!
[line] Walmart [line]
I always think Walmart is hit or miss, although they have been stepping up their game clothing wise. Their prices are always the lowest you will ever find, but it is the matter of finding them!
[line] TJ Maxx / Ross [line]
TJ Maxx is one of my ultimate favorites. What I do is find clothing that is stretchy or baggy. They have the cutest clothing items are perfect prices! Although you have to be patient enough to search through the racks. TJ Maxx always has new items coming in every day, so something you find one day will not be there the next. But when you do find something, it is usually the cutest thing!
[line] Goodwill / Simply Chic / Resale Shops [line]
The best advice I can give you is to shop in the nicer areas! I frequent the Simply Chic by my house and always find the cutest simple dresses I can wear around the house or just out to do grocery shopping. With it being summer (and my frequent bathroom breaks), dresses are the best choice. I like the idea of rompers, until you have to pee…You may not always find something, but when you do it is like discovering gold.
