My Story
I’m Terri and I’m creator behind A Cup of Motherly. I share the messy mom life by supporting mothers to embrace the chaos and be comforted in motherhood.
After becoming a mother, my world was turned upside down…for the better. I welcomed a daughter in 2018 and then ANOTHER in 2020. My hope is to bring mothers (and fathers) together to bring the conversation to life…parenthood is hard. No matter how social media can perk it up to be, we can’t do it alone. That’s why A Cup of Motherly was born.
I am by no means a parenting expert. I can only tell you what I know from experience. Every person, baby, child is different. Remember that.
My cup was born from realizing how alone I was in this journey. I have an amazing husband, but I often found myself googling everything! Too guilty to call my pediatrician, even reach out to friends. But here’s the thing, my friends…even strangers from instagram REACHED OUT TO ME. And I will be forever grateful for their support. I couldn’t do it without them.
It’s because of this community of women who kept pushing me to be the best for Isla that I was able to come out victorious. Not to mention how I pumped enough breast milk to last her about 10-11 months of her life, because breastfeeding was difficult without the proper support.
I hope this blog will help you along the way and don’t be a stranger! Don’t be afriad to reach out and say hi, or just to vent…because believe me mama, I’ve been there and back, and around the world. You’re not alone.
